We get the atoms/elements to build our bodies from the compounds/molecules found in our foods!
Today we created doodle notes of the important molecules of life: carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, nucleic acids, and water.
Our notes include the names of the compounds, examples of the compound, elements needed to make the compounds, foods we will find these compounds in, AND we added how our cells/bodies use the compounds.
IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you will find helpful material in Google Classroom. Be sure to use one page for each compound (carbs on page 31, lipids 32, proteins 33, nucleic acids 34, water 35, and IF you want to include vitamins/minerals use page 36).
We will continue our 'you are what you eat' discussion on Monday. Be sure to have notes to join in the conversation!
