Today we explored more with the characteristics of life. We also read about Francesco Redi and Louis Pasteur and added these fellas to our GOSATOT. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you can PRINT THE NOTES FOR PAGE 40. When you return you can get info on Redi and Pasteur. Tomorrow we explore chemicals of life! Today we explored the characteristics of life. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you need to catch up your notes tomorrow. Some of you still need to make up the microscopes SWYK ... come in for study hall, lunch, or afterschool! Today we took a SWYK on microscopes and we spent some GOSATOT work time. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you will need to make up the SWYK when you return (lunch, after school, or study hall time). Some of you needed to wrap up GOSATOT peeps and tools... look em up!

We also discussed some of the Giants in Science for microscopes and the cell theory. Today we had another opportunity to use the microscopes! We also made a wet mount slide of our hair! Our SWYK is Friday (no notes... spend time reviewing for the SWYK . IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you missed more microscope fun! Come in during Study Hall Thursday morning (or lunch) and SEE what you missed! THIS IS A FUN SITE FOR EXPLORATION AND REVIEW if you are reviewing today or even want more microscope stuff!  Today we checked our notes on scope parts and functions and then we used the scopes!
We have a SWYK this Friday so our task outside of class this week is to know our scope parts and jobs by memory (no notes on this SWYK kids!). Spend time reviewing (MAYBE TRY SOME OF THESE REVIEW TASKS). IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you need to PRINT THESE NOTES for page 37 of your notebook. You also can come in tomorrow's study hall to look at the "e" with the microscope (or just wait until class time). Today we began learning the parts of a microscope. Some of us have used scopes before and for some it is a brand new tool! IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you will need to PRINT THESE NOTES WITH DIAGRAM for page 36 of your notebook (and I will be collecting your notebook on Monday or upon return to class for a midterm notebook check).
