Today we extracted the DNA from a strawberry! DNA is a cool molecule! IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you have nothing to make up BUT you can check THIS VIRTUAL LAB. Short day tomorrow and then it's vacation time!  Today we made sure our DNA models were done (or at least started). Tomorrow we will extract DNA from a strawberry! IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY check for any missing work in PowerSchool and finish up before the long break. We have another moment this Wednesday for models; otherwise you'll make yours in January! Today we made a model of DNA. We also discovered just how frustrating following directions, cutting, and pasting can be as well. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you will need to make your DNA model. Come in during lunch, study hall, or after school to finish this task if you don't get it done during Monday's class. More with DNA next week! Today we learned a bit about the function, structure, and code of Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA). IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you can watch the video below and copy/print THESE NOTES for your notebook page 58. We will continue exploring DNA tomorrow. If you missed class yesterday be sure to finish the SWYK (found in classroom)! Today we took our Energy Processes SWYK. Reminder that you have until 3:30 today to get BONUS boosts finished up! IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you will find your SWYK in Google Classroom! Use your resources to do best work!  Today we spent the class period reviewing energy processes. Tomorrow we SWYK! IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY make sure you spend some review time as well. Be sure all Google Classroom work is complete AND try the bonus work! The following link has IMPORTANT INFORMATION regarding energy processes: CHECK IT OUT!  We spent the day on Chromebooks completing today's NEW assignment and continued bonus work. We have another review day tomorrow to prepare for Wednesday's Show What You Know (SWYK).   Today we spent the class period practicing energy processes. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY check Google Classroom for today's question "Do you know your energy processes?" Spend about 1/2 an hour on the Flocabulary tasks before you answer. IF YOU EARN 100% ON ANY OF THE PRACTICE TASKS: BE SURE TO SCREENSHOT AND ADD TO THE ENERGY BONUS BOOST TASK (Yes, I added another bonus task for you to earn bonus boosting!) Monday we shall continue with energy processes, Tuesday is a catch up bonus boost day, and Wednesday is time to Show What You Know. Please let me know if you have any questions.
