(These are volvox... a colonial green algae)
Watch this... it explains the grogginess of snooze alarms... explains a lot actually!
Hey kids... tomorrow is the first day of spring... doesn't that make you think of baseball? Softball? Wouldn't you love a baseball and softball scorekeeping app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad that works like a pen-and-paper scorecard and looks and feels like a built-in app! ? If you are a "Facebooker" visit this page and LIKE it!! It is a baseball and softball scorekeeping app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad that works like a pen-and-paper scorecard and looks and feels like a built-in app! For more information see their webpage.
(You can ask me at school just why I would promote this app... I have a really good reason!)
Remember when we had current events about the rover on Mars? Well they found more evidence to support the possibility of microbial life (IF it ever evolved or arrived there).
NO they didn't find life... but they found conditions that could support it. Read this for more...
Today is a day of news... recent events have opened hope for a cure for AIDS (the claim says they have cured AIDS... is the evidence there?). We will search for articles to support or refute the news!
This TED-Ed discusses vaccinations of the future to prevent HIV and influenza.
This article discusses a world without antibiotics... a world we may once again see.
New notebooks Monday... then CRTs.
I have the disease labs from most of you (some nope... but the zero is for you to remove now).
Today's lab on bacterial growth hopefully lets you keep home and body more effectively bacteria-free (btw hand sanitizer does work, but use LOTS)... vinegar RULES!
Anyone still need to finish the graphs? Make sure to finish tonight so you have NO SCIENCE WORK FOR A WHOLE WEEK! (other than getting a new notebook for Monday)
In theory all that data analysis and conclusion writing we did the past week will help you excel in next week's CRT's... I truly enjoyed learning so much more about where you are in math skill level and tolerance to my yelling.
Have a great evening and I shall see you tomorrow!!!
