Today we took a SWYK of cell theory work. We also wrote 2 CEAL paragraphs to show off our writing skill. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you can login to classroom and do the task! (no notes... show what you KNOW). Tomorrow we zoom out and begin our human body unit.
Today we discussed cancer (uncontrolled cell division) and reviewed the cell theory. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY watch these videos below to review for tomorrow's SWYK. Take a moment to review your GOSATOT, too. You will discuss which giant is the GOAT so far!
Today we wrapped up our cell division stations with one final task: WRITE IT. We also added some glossary terms to our notebook: chromatin, chromosome, chromatid, centromere, centrioles, and spindle fibers. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you can add these glossary terms tomorrow when you return to class. Feel free to complete the WRITE IT task this evening. We will discuss cancer tomorrow and wrap up any final cell theory work. Today we took a look at cells undergoing division (microscopes!) and wrapped up the station lab. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you will need to spend some homebase/lunch/after school time to make up as many stations as possible! Halfway through the year now so no surprises on expectations!!! Today we wrapped up the Eggsploring Osmosis lab conclusion; we checked our notebooks for glossary, TOC, and GOSATOT completeness; and maybe even completed one more cell cycle station. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY I will need your notebook on Monday for the midterm check (it's January planner check on Monday as well so be prepared for a successful day!). Next week we shall wrap up cell division AND summarize all that we have learned studying cell theory and then we shall zoom some more!
Today we continued our learning of the events, sequence, phases, and purpose of cell division. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you may watch the videos below and add any notes on page 84 of your notebook. Tomorrow we will spend class either adding final edits to our Eggsploring conclusions, updating our table of contents, finishing vocabulary terms from this past Tuesday or way back from energy processes prepare for the midterm notebook check!
Today we started our station lab to learn about cell division (how cells make more cells). IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you'll jump in tomorrow (and maybe will need some extra time next week to finish... we'll see later). All students need to finish the eggsploring conclusion! Share your rough draft with me. I will give feedback tonight after dinnertime. Today we wrapped up our cell membrane work (conclusions officially due on Friday). IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you missed a SWYK and some vocabulary time. Be sure to add selectively permeable, diffusion, osmosis, passive transport, and active transport to your glossary. Tomorrow and Thursday we will explore how cells make more cells and then Friday take another moment to get all work done for the midterm break! |
