Today we wrapped up the human body study. . . explored the organs in more depth (and touch!) . . . AND we played some body games, body songs, and body videos. Way to go! Have a great break kids!!! Anyone who was absent today (or this week) will need to turn in your packet FIRST THING MONDAY if I don't already have it. Some need to SWYK from Thursday, too. Do this Monday. Some are all caught up. Good.
Today we took our SWYK on the human body systems. If you want to learn a bit more about mucus watch the video below! Many of us are done with the human body packet #2 and we were able to explore sheep and cow organs (with more exploration tomorrow!) as well as dissect a rat or a frog (ipad app). Tomorrow we turn in the packets no matter the completion... ugh... I want them DONE and DONE WELL!!! Finish!!! Today we reviewed the systems of the human body and their functions. Tomorrow we SWYK. You need to know the job for each system, the organization of cells-tissues-organs-systems, AND explain how all systems work together for homeostasis. Packet work tonight IF it still isn't fully complete. Friday I collect them whether complete or not... sigh... get them DONE! (You really want to be done so you can do dissection work!!!)
Today we explored our senses and the nerve pathways in our bodies. IF you were absent you missed some fun activities... maybe you'll stay for PRIDE Wednesday to do them? Some of you still need to complete your packet on digestion, circulation, respiration, and excretion. SWYK is Thursday and final day to turn packet in will be on Friday. Golly gee, I hope you'll be done so you can explore the rat and frog dissection ipad apps! Today we discussed the function, structures, and some problems with the nervous system. If you were gone today you can check in with me during study hall tomorrow morning for the notes you missed! You may choose to WATCH THIS FUN VIDEO DISCUSSING HISTORY OF BRAIN. Or not... (but you'll like it!) Tomorrow we continue with the nervous system and our senses! Human Body packet work from digestion, circulation, respiration, and excretion was collected today! Hopefully you won't get yours back tomorrow for fixing!!! If I don't have your conference sheet today you are expected to stay tomorrow after school.
Today we explored the excretory system and reviewed digestion, circulation, and excretion. Busy day! This weekend you can wrap up any packet work you didn't finish. Monday we shall explore the nervous system. There are are few of you who still have not completed the conference sheet. Monday you get a '1' for work ethic OR you have required detention after school Tuesday to complete the task with me... get it done!!!
