Today we defined 'prokaryotic' and 'eukaryotic' in our glossary. Watch the video to review the similarities and differences (and if you were absent: add to your glossary!). The rest of class was analogy work (cell is like a factory, cell is like a space station, nucleus is like the capital of the country, mitochondria is like a battery, etc.) to better understand the structures of the cell and the functions they serve for the cell. Your cell project is due on Tuesday, November 24th. You should get started tonight with planning so this weekend you finish!
Tonight is the last night for makeup work on scopes, etc. Tomorrow is last day any work for Trimester 1 can be turned in. The last remaining grades are for work ethic with notebook check over Thanksgiving break.
KMS Science Teacher
Most science pictures I post are found from assorted Facebook science pages... too numerous to cite specifically and downloaded for "just the right time"... I am sorry for the poor citation example I am setting.
In addition the archives are primarily from my days as a ONLY a life science teacher ... 2020 has changed all that!
