Today we continued our THIEVes notes for "What is Life" with the historical experiments of Francesco Redi and Louis Pasteur. Tomorrow we shall wrap up the notes and discuss the needs of all living things... we also wrap up our investigation as to which abiotic factor is most important for seeds to germinate! If you want to watch the life cycle/development of flies you may want to click and watch this video. The video below is a nice review/discussion of spontaneous generation (and the controlled experiments) we read about today.
THIS LINK ALSO DISCUSSES THE HISTORY OF REDI AND PASTEUR... watch if you aren't sure what's up!
KMS Science Teacher
Most science pictures I post are found from assorted Facebook science pages... too numerous to cite specifically and downloaded for "just the right time"... I am sorry for the poor citation example I am setting.
In addition the archives are primarily from my days as a ONLY a life science teacher ... 2020 has changed all that!
