Safety safety safety! Tools tools tools! Today we had a lovely day of Science Safety Theater! Be ready for tomorrow's Show What You Know (SWYK) about lab tools and safety by reviewing your own notes, THIS powerpoint from Monday and THIS powerpoint which challenges you a bit more... Need music? HERE is the lab safety rap from today (so catchy isn't it?!)... We are still missing safety contracts! Get them signed and in!  Poor Carol...

You too can become an astronaut! Let Kelner know that SCIENCE beats his class always :) Today we learned the names and uses of the lab equipment we shall use this year. You can review THIS POWERPOINT if you were absent and be sure to pick up a worksheet to study from. Tomorrow is all about lab safety! Did you get your safety contract turned in yet? Reminder of Open House on Thursday!  Remember to get the safety contract signed... We will happily take them Monday or Tuesday! Open House this week on Thursday... tell your folks!  Diving into those skiils and tools of science. Over the weekend review the safety contract and bring back signed on Monday. We shall learn the tools of biology and have some fun with safety next week!  Great scientists in the classroom that's for sure (boy oh boy do you question everything!)... We now have a notebook all set up and raring to go, we know our seating partners for each day (6 o'clock is for subs and has specific table location as well), and tomorrow we dive into the skills and tools of scientists! We created our science notebook today in class... Absent folks will need to come during HomeBase study hall Thursday, arrange to come in at lunch or stay after school when you return to get all set up! Tomorrow we finish the loose ends of seating charts and dive into working together as scientists! |
