Today we translated some coded instructions (just like mRNA translates DNA code) then we constructed a critter (just like ribosomes make proteins which make US). Good day of music and videos (WATCH AGAIN?). Tomorrow we shall follow instructions (NOT in code... whew) to extract DNA from a strawberry. Fun indeed!
We sure have some interesting criitters. This shows that even though instructions (or DNA code) is similar, the final organism may be very different because of how they were constructed (much like how we have similar "recipes" in our genes as humans but our expression of these genes is unique)! We even had some new organisms (tigers with spots = leopard and giraffes with stripes = okapi) from just one word that was changed in the translated code. Mutations can cause change and may result in new organisms... oh the diversity!!!

Most science pictures I post are found from assorted Facebook science pages... too numerous to cite specifically and downloaded for "just the right time"... I am sorry for the poor citation example I am setting.
In addition the archives are primarily from my days as a ONLY a life science teacher ... 2020 has changed all that!
