Seems like we keep talking about cell organelles every day this week! All this repetition help your brain CELLS to make connections and learn these organelles! Need the music for work? HERE is a great song that will stick with you for great organelle learning... HERE is Bill Nye the Science Guy to reinforce cells. You need to complete your End of Section questions (page 24 in your textbook) USING COMPLETE SENTENCES... Loose leaf paper... MLA heading... smart answers... you know the drill! Due next Wednesday! If you have been absent the past few days of cells work in class be sure to pick up the worksheets from Mrs. Heyer when you return so you have another learning tool (the animal and plant cell diagrams) in your notebook...
Next week we shall look at cells with the microscope AND prepare for our cool cell projects. IF you still didn't get your CONFERENCE SHEET done you will have this weekend to do so... work ethic dropping for late days! Conferences tonight! Looking forward to seeing your parents. Hopefully you already completed your conference sheet so they know how awesome your work has been so far this year... otherwise make sure to get it done now! You have a zero for work ethic if not turned in! We continued with learning of cell organelles today... Notes all wrapped up (copy the GREEN words on pages 44-45 if you were absent OR if you didn't finish up in class)... Conference sheets should be done and in? Reminder parent-teacher conferences are tomorrow night from 4-8 pm... I look forward to seeing your folks! Here is the Powerpoint from class today (you took notes). Tomorrow you will finish with the details of the organelles AND discuss the nucleus' job in more detail. Pages 22-23 (cell diagrams) in your textbook can be helpful as you learn these organelles. Tonight you need to FINISH YOUR CONFERENCE SHEET for us! ![]() Cells are the building block of all living things... so what are cells made of? We began our work today understanding the organelles that make up cells. You should add the terms cell and organelle to your glossary (add phonetic spelling, definition, example &/or illustration, and use in a logical sentence) if you were absent today. This week you will spend time each day understanding all the organelles and their functions... woo hoo! Parent-teacher conferences are this Thursday evening from 4-8 pm... Parents will visit us in our classrooms. Be sure to finish your CONFERENCE SHEET by Wednesday! You want to show off your work before we meet with your folks! |
