I am cleared to return to school next week! Hooray!!! Be sure to finish the SCIENCE SYLLABUS SURVEY if you have not yet done so. Make sure to get the science safety contract signed for me and turned in Monday (or Tuesday) so we can start bringing tools into our investigations! IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you can pick up a contract Monday when you return. I look forward to seeing you all!  Be sure to finish the SCIENCE SYLLABUS SURVEY! I will be out all week recovering from an eye surgery so I won't be updating the blog with what you've missed. Check in with your clock partner or the sub when you return. Only big homework worry is a signed safety contract on Friday and of course finishing the survey.  Today we wrapped up our notebook setup. We also set our clock partners for seating. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you can grab your clock from me on Monday (and wrap up any loose ends for notebook setup). Some of us even started to science! Monday we shall science more! A few of you still need your folks to finish the EQUINOX SCIENCE SYLLABUS SURVEY. Value is now only a "3" (but it's better than the zero you have now). Finish up!!!  Today we setup the science notebooks (well... almost all the way setup). tomorrow we will add finishing touches, setup the seating charts, and begin science-ing! IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY I will help you get your notebook all setup when you return. Nothing for you to worry about on your own. Some of you still need to get the EQUINOX SCIENCE SYLLABUS SURVEY completed. Hopefully by 11:59 pm tonight for the "4" in work ethic!  Today we shared a bit about ourselves from our bags. We share so much in common with each other and yet are so diverse and different. It sure is interesting that only 5 characteristics divide all the kingdoms of life! IF YOU WERE ABSENT TODAY you will need to share your bags tomorrow. Tomorrow we also shall setup our science notebooks... be prepared for class with your 3 subject spiral! Open House is TOMORROW from 6-7:35. Encourage your folks to join us! Remember to finish the EQUINOX SCIENCE SYLLABUS SURVEY too! On Friday it's only worth a "3" in work ethic.  Today we discussed MY characteristics and tonight your task is to place 5 items in a bag to share a bit about YOUR characteristics tomorrow. We also took our very first Show What You Know (AKA SWYK) and discovered there is a lot to learn about living things this year beyond just characteristics! IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you could choose to bring 5 items that describe YOU (what makes you YOU). You can also wait to see how the sharing goes tomorrow and then be ready to share on Thursday. Many of you still need to have your parents take the EQUINOX SCIENCE SYLLABUS SURVEY. Please ask them to! PS... KMS Open House is this Thursday evening from 6-7:35 pm. Ask them to come meet us! |
