Today more review of photosynthesis AND a dabble in classification!
(pick up the notes tomorrow if you were absent... just a printed set for you to grab) Tonight review pages 104-119 in your textbook AND add any vocabulary with definitions to your glossary! Tomorrow we shall act like a plant cell and check germination of our seeds! All Fungi work due by Friday! We watched a video about plants and reviewed photosynthesis. Check your notebook pages 59-67... you should have lots of information on Energy in ecosystems as well as details about photosynthesis and other energy processes from when we studied this last fall/winter. Come to homebase study hall tomorrow morning if you need to print the notes! Wrap up your fungi work tonight... Review THIS POST if you need information! Rainy rainy rainy... THIS Ted talk is 7 minutes of super cool... watch and be so glad you did!
Today we were introduced to the Plant Kingdom... actually we wrote what we already know about plants (though it turns out that we don't already know everything about them so it's good we will spend some time these next few weeks on plants)... Next week MORE! Fabulous Fungi Facts packets were due today AND we added another CEAL paragraph to write... "Look at all the roles of fungi in nature. Which of these roles (which niche) would you say is the most important? Use your CEAL paragraph skills to explain what role is most important, supporting evidence for this opinion, analysis of how this is more important than another role (or two), and final linking statement to make this paragraph POP! (write on looseleaf please) Track stars should have turned in their FFF packet already but all CEALs are officially due on Monday. THIS Ted-Ed was pretty helpful to discuss importance of all dead stuff in our ecosystem/food chain. |
