Are all genetically manipulated foods bad? What are the benefits to GMO's? That is our discussion. THIS graphic sure shows the prevalence of GMOs in our grain crops (those of you who eat prepackaged foods meet up with these crops the most!)... well unless you choose certified organics (they require to be GMO free with this label). Continue your research for your viewpoint. List any important evidence and analysis to support your claim. CITE all your information! Original articles are HERE. (last chance tonight to get any past work from the trimester completed to turn in tomorrow!) We are starting research on the pros and cons of GMOs. Some of you say they are good and others say no way! Read the overview AND both points of view HERE as an introduction. We will continue work tomorrow to support your own point of view. Jot any notes in our notebook page 95... Remember you have until this Friday to turn in any missing work... tick tock... How did the presentations go? IF you have been gone you will need to present before Friday! Be ready! Wrap up all missing work from genetics... trimester ends soooooooon! We will be switching textbooks soon as well! New unit on the horizon... First adaptations and how DNA is involved with different organisms... on purpose or just in nature! See you tomorrow! Be sure to wrap up your Genetics Questions tonight! Be ready to present to Mr. Crosswhite tomorrow... IF you have been absent you need to get into that library OR do the PowerPoint at home and bring on a flash! Study hall in morning so get all the details set! End of trimester this Friday... no work accepted past Friday!
