Today we used oreos (as the cell) and sprinkles (as the chromosomes) to model meiosis. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY check Google Classroom for your meiosis task (if you missed class yesterday you already have it!). Today we answered Bikini Bottom SWYK questions AND introduced cell division for sex cells: MEIOSIS. They share similar steps with mitosis (the pair, middle, apart, two of PMAT). They also have differences. Tomorrow we will model. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you can check Google Classroom for a meiosis task of your own. Today we practice practice practiced Punnett squares. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you will find an Edpuzzle task for you in Google Classroom assigned during your regular science period. Lots of vocab to know in order to Punnett! Today we explored the probabilities that traits get passed from parent to offspring. We also learned a cool tool called a Punnett Square. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you can check out these notes AND be sure to finish all bingo board work from last week. If you miss class tomorrow you will find a Punnett lesson in Google Classroom. Today we reviewed the concepts we learned with the genetics bingo board! IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY you have nothing new to do, however be sure you finish your bingo board work today! More with Mendel next week. Today we finished up our Genetics Bingo Board work. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY spend time on the board!
Today we had a short day AND spent the whole time working on our Genetics Bingo Board. Thursday is our last class period with Chromebooks. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY give the bingo board some time (and explore this)! Today we began our learning work for genetics. We have a Genetics Bingo Board to work through this week. IF YOU MISSED CLASS TODAY spend half an hour on this task (check Google Classroom for the work during/after your science class). You will complete 4 or 5 squares for the 2; 6-7 squares for the 3; and 8 or 9 gives the 4. Enjoy the learning! |
