Tonight is a busy night of science for you! Some of you still need to finish your CEAL conclusion for the tootsie pop lab. Use this CEAL Wheel to help guide you!
Next, you need to add your terms from today into the glossary. I would add not only questions and variables, but also each type of variable: independent, dependent, and controlled variables. Remember when adding definitions to our glossary we: 1) write the term; 2) add a phonetic spelling; 3) write the definition for the term; 4) add an example &/ drawing; and 5) use the term in a sentence that is meaningful to the definition. (You should already have defined OBSERVATIONS and INFERENCE in your glossary from this past Monday!)
We discovered today why the method is a wheel that spins over and over and over. We also learned that our tootsie pop lab was pretty BAD science! If you have been absent you may be worried about understanding the Scientific Method. HERE is a video that will help explain. HERE is another that uses a bit of humor... :)
KMS Science Teacher
Most science pictures I post are found from assorted Facebook science pages... too numerous to cite specifically and downloaded for "just the right time"... I am sorry for the poor citation example I am setting.
In addition the archives are primarily from my days as a ONLY a life science teacher ... 2020 has changed all that!
